Compare the New SuperSkids Rev.3 to Rev.2
Since many of you have requested to know the differences between Rev.2 and the new Rev.3 SuperSkids™ which should be available during the third week of August, I'll do my best to explain some of them. Please keep in mind that the pictures here are pre-production samples, so the actual product may still have some changes. These are not the most flattering pictures of Rev.3, but they're all I have right now. Also, there are a lot of changes that you can't really see in the pictures. Basically, every part is different and the molded parts and aluminum skids are a little higher quality than before.
The skids have a thicker wall than before, the aluminum alloy is stronger, and they're longer.
There's more room for the battery, the skid stance is wider than Rev.2. and the landing gear has a different shape.
The redesigned battery clips are easier to use and hold the battery more securely. The silicon tubes on the battery rods grip better.
The wing and fin have a different shape and mount differently.
The fin now also attaches to the tail strut. It adds strength to the strut. We also include the "Tail Saver" bead so the tail strut won't dig into carpet or ground. Helps to stop the strut from breaking. Black superskids kits will even have black screws this time.
The heli sits taller and the landing gear is swept forward more. The skids have a smoke colored, anodized finish with a white SuperSkids logo.
Below are some other pictures.
